5 Positive Affirmations To Boost Your Confidence
If like me, you love a good motivational quote, Pinterest is your best friend. If you’re ever feeling unmotivated or you’re in a funk you can’t shake off, head to Pinterest and you’re guaranteed to stumble across something that will either inspire you to be productive, or leave you feeling uplifted. It’s my favourite social media platform, and I particularly like using Pinterest to find positive affirmations, so I wanted to share 5 positive affirmations to boost your confidence.
What is an affirmation?
An affirmation is said to be the action or process of affirming something, and are positive statements which can help you to both challenge and overcome negative thoughts, and self-sabotaging. An affirmation is almost an empowering motivational quote, which can help keep your mindset positive, which is particularly useful in the mornings to ensure you have a good day ahead.
My favourite positive affirmations include;
I am in control of my thoughts, feelings and choices – This is my favourite positive affirmation as it’s all about deciding to be positive. You can choose whether to have negative or positive thoughts, and whilst life can always be challenging, it’s important to try and focus on the positives rather than the negatives.
Today is filled with opportunity – I’m sure it’s a coincidence, but whenever I start the day, week or month with a positive mindset that opportunities will present themselves, I find that they do. Your life is what you make it, and if you believe that every new day is filled with fresh opportunities it not only gives you hope, but it also helps to keep your mind positive.
There are no blocks I can’t overcome – If you struggle with a defeatist attitude, you might find this positive affirmation helpful. As hard as it is sometimes, you have to believe in yourself and what you can achieve. Some of us have a fixed mindset that creates blocks we believe we can’t overcome, but we can achieve anything we put our mind to.
My mistakes and failures are opportunities to become a better version of myself – mistakes are inevitable. They’re just part of life, but focus on how you failed. Focus on how you can better yourself, and learn from that mistake. How can you improve yourself? Don’t focus on the negatives in failures, see it as an opportunity to try and again until you succeed.
I choose to see the good in everything – instead of focusing on the negatives, try flipping things over and looking at them with a more positive mindset. Maybe you didn’t get the job you applied for, because a better, more perfect job role is in your near future. Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
I really hope you found these 5 positive affirmations to boost your confidence helpful, and they help lift your confidence and mood.
