Essence Blush Lighter Gradient Powder Blush Review / Swatches

I love Essence, so I was surprised to see I hadn’t featured any Essence products on my blog since December. The Essence Blush Lighter Gradient Powder Blush launched back in February, but I only recently made an order for a couple of the shades from Feelunique. You can buy Essence from Wilko and Feelunique now, and I’d choose Feelunique every time as powder products are never packed well when ordering from Wilko, so I’m glad there’s another stockist for the UK now.

The Essence Blush Lighter Gradient Powder Blush is available in four different shades;

  • 01 Nude Twilight
  • 02 Coral Sunset
  • 03 Cassis Sunburst
  • 04 Peachy Dawn

“Blush meets highlighter! The four new Essence Blush Lighters come in a trendy ombré look and each contain a highlighter and a blush shade, which smoothly fade into each other.

Whether matte or shimmering, whether applied solo or in combination – with the four shades, it’s easy to create your very own favourite blush looks. Available in the seductive combinations of gold-rosewood nude, gold-soft peach, silver-nude coral and silver-cherry red.“

I loved the look of all four shades, but this is 04 Peachy Dawn and it’s the perfect peach blush for lighter skintones. The blush powder has an ombré design, similar to their previous ombre bronzer. I love their ombre designed powders, as they’re always a decent size allowing you to use the matte side, the shimmer side or both sides together as shown above in the swatches.

For £3.79, it’s such a beautiful blusher that looks so glowy and healthy on the cheeks. It’s not at all powdery or chunky, and the shimmer isn’t sparkly so it looks very natural and pretty on the skin. It’s such a beautiful blush, and it’s been my favourite peachy blush over the summer, and it’s amazing that for £3.79 you get 8 grams of product.
