2020 has been somewhat challenging to put it mildly, and everyone has been struggling over the last few months. Whilst isn’t back to “normal” just yet, there’s definitely a little more normality compared to what it was like three months ago. I wanted to share some ideas on how to treat yourself post-lockdown, if you’re in need of a pick-me-up, or just fancy some self indulgence in the run up to Christmas.
How To Treat Yourself Post-Lockdown
Book A Manicure
If you’ve missed getting your nails done during lockdown, beauty salons are beginning to open but it’s a nightmare to try and get an appointment as they’ve been inundated with demand. If you’re still unable to book yourself an appointment at your usual nail salon, you can always opt for an appointment for a mobile manicure that will still give you the pampering experience, but you don’t have to worry about waiting lists or social distancing whilst out and about.
Home Makeover
Home ware stores have seen massive footfall since lockdown was lifted, as everyone appears to be focusing on home improvements right now. It makes sense since we can’t go on holiday normally yet, so it’s nice to make the most out of our homes, and enjoy staycation vibes. It could be something simple like a new lick of paint, or you could go all out with new furniture, a new feature wall or something super simple like changing up the layout of your rooms.
Shopping
Whilst we all still need to observe social distancing, and wear a face mask at all times when leaving the house, it’s now OK for us to go shopping. During lockdown, we could only do essential shopping for food or important items which meant many of us were having to shop online but now we can visit physical shops. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s nice to be able to go out and about after so many weeks of not being allowed to. If there’s been anything on your wishlist for when lockdown finished, now is the time to tick it off your list.
I hope you found these ideas on how to treat yourself post-lockdown helpful.
