L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Cover Longwear Foundation Review / Swatches

The L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Cover Longwear Foundation launched back in January, and was another product within the L’Oreal Infallible collection. The Infallible collection initially started off with a foundation and concealer (in red packaging, does anyone else remember?) but now they’re seemingly launching absolutely anything and calling it ‘Infallible’.

The L’Oreal Infallible 24Hr Fresh Wear Foundation also launched this year as a full coverage foundation, and the L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Cover Longwear Foundation is £9.99. It contains 30ml of product within a matte, plastic tube with a nozzle which is nice and lightweight, and perfect for your makeup as you don’t have to worry about glass bottles, like L’Oreal uses for the rest of their foundations.

The L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Cover Longwear Foundation is said to offer upto 24 hours matte coverage, and a natural second skin kind of finish. It’s formulated with an ultra blurring serum and mattifying powder, in order to deliver an ultra-resistant matte coverage, helping to combat shine for upt0 24 hours.

L’Oreal have formulated the foundation with a high concentration of pigments within a smooth fluid formula, so it can naturally blend onto the skin for a barely there feel, and full coverage finish. It also claims to be sweat proof, heat proof, transfer proof and also waterproof with an SPF of 18.

The L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Cover Longwear Foundation is available in a total 20 shades which is really poor for L’Oreal. Usually they’re a lot more inclusive with their shade ranges, but the palest shade is 90 Rose Porcelain which is the shade I bought.

Recently I’ve been enjoying using matte foundations mixed with a facial oil like the ELF Hydrating & Lightweight Booster Drops. It helps to make the finish a little more flattering than a straight up matte, and it doesn’t cling to dry patches like a normal matte foundation would.

The drops also help to sheer the formula a little, which has been perfect during the warmer months, but you still get the decent longevity without melting off in the heat. Rose Porcelain is a little too deep for me to use straight from the tube, but mixed with a foundation mixer, and the drops, it’s been a really great foundation and I think I prefer it to the Fresh Wear Foundation.
