Since I started my blog back in 2012, I’ve featured a lot of products but there’s products I forever repurchase, but they’ve never made it to the blog as they’re not the most exciting or interesting. I really want to change that, and I recently reviewed the Soap & Glory Rich & Foamous Body Wash for the first time, even though I’ve religiously bought it for at least eight years. The Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo is a product I always have in my stash, but I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it before.
Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo
Pantene haircare products often get a bad rap, as their formulas are typically loaded with silicones and there’s a big push on more natural, SLS-free formulas right now. I love luxe haircare products, but my hair really likes Aussie and Pantene haircare products.
The Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo has had numerous names over the years, and used to be called the Pantene Pro-V Clarifying Shampoo, but the formula has remained pretty much untouched.
“Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish shampoo, a silicone-free formula blends Pantene Pro-V nutrients with Micellar complex to purify and revitalize hair from root to tip, leaving hair nourished and free-flowing.“
The Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo is silicone free and claims to deeply cleanse hair from impurities, without harshness, whilst nourishing and re-vitalizing hair at the same time. It’s a clear shampoo, and works amazingly well at clarifying the hair and the scalp to leave the hair feeling super clean and removes all build-up.
I don’t use a lot of hair styling products, but as my hair is so very fine, it can become weighed down very easily which tends to make my hair lose its shine. I tend to use the Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Shampoo maybe once every two weeks and it really does help to prevent any build up, and does such a great job at deep cleaning the hair and scalp.
I’m not entirely sure on the whole ‘micellar’ part of the name, but I love that it helps to clarify without leaving my hair feeling squeaky and stripped like some clarifying products tend to do. It’s only £5 for 500ml which is great value, but it’s *always* half price at either Boots or Superdrug, and it’s amazing for £2.50 and such a great, affordable, silicone-free clarifying shampoo.
