I featured one of the ELF Liquid Glitter Eyeshadows in the shade Flirty Birdy, and it’s safe to say I love it. I purchased three other shades including the ELF Disco Queen Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow, and it’s crazy that they’re just £5 each, especially when you consider how similar they are to the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Eyeshadows.
ELF Disco Queen Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow
“This gel-based formula is long-lasting, quick-drying and 100% eye-catching! Get an amped up eye look with one-swipe glitter coverage. Formulated for comfortable wear and minimal fall out, this opaque liquid eyeshadow delivers high-impact, multi-dimensional glitters and pearls in a quick-drying gel base. Just in time for the Holiday season, these 8 shades are perfect for a fun and vibrant look.”
The ELF Disco Queen Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow is just one of eleven shades, and the packaging is so similar to the Stila Glitter Eyeshadows. They have rectangular, clear tubes, with white lids and the same doefoot applicator, which makes application super quick and easy. You can apply them directly onto the lids, or use your fingertip/brush.
The shade Flirty Birdy has a coloured base, but the ELF Disco Queen Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow has a clear base. I feel like Disco Queen is the most versatile shade in the whole range, as the clear base means you can apply it literally over any eyeshadow colour and it won’t change the colour of your makeup look.
In the clear base there’s silver shimmer and glitter, as well as stunning holographic glitter particles which catch the light amazingly well. In the swatch photo, the top swatch is one swipe of the doefoot applicator, and the bigger one is a few swipes so you can see how you can sheer it out, and how sparkly it looks. This would be the perfect shade for everyone, as you can layer it over any eyeshadow for a sparkly effect, and it’ll be perfect for Christmas party looks too.
