Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer Review

The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer is a product I’ve wanted to try for some time now, as I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. I’ve tried lots of the Ole Henriksen skincare range, but the Banana Bright range isn’t one I’ve tried, and I was intrigued to see how a skincare product would double up as a face primer underneath makeup.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer Review

Skincare + makeup come face to face. It’s lit.

Meet Banana Bright Face Primer, the vitamin C-powered illuminating makeup primer that delivers instant radiance while improving and extending makeup wear.

Inspired by the makeup artist must-have—“banana powder”—this subtly sunny makeup primer contains brightening pigments to bring radiance to the entire complexion. Whether it’s worn under makeup, mixed in with foundation, or even worn alone, Banana Bright Face Primer creates a dewy, healthy-looking glow.

But that’s not all. The look of fine lines and wrinkles—instantly softened. Skin’s appearance—smoothed. With its soft-focus effect, this vegan brightening primer formula creates a luminous canvas for an Ole Glow that lasts and lasts.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer Review

The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer can be worn alone, under makeup or dabbed on top of makeup as a highlight. It’s packaged within an orange plastic tube, with a white pump. The primer has a gel-cream consistency, and a subtle banana scent. I had no idea how glowy this primer was, and the first time I applied the primer I went overboard with how much I applied and ended up looking like an extra out of Minions.

The amount shown in the image above this one is probably still too much for the whole face, so you only need a very small amount of product, meaning the tube will last much longer than a standard primer.

I love how radiant this primer leaves my skin, which hopefully you can see in the photo above, it really is beautiful. It’s nicely hydrating and works so well under makeup, especially those with a matte or satin finish which can sometimes look a little heavy. On no-makeup makeup days, it leaves the skin looking smooth and plump, and it’s perfect for when your skin is needed of a pick me up, and takes a couple of seconds to apply.
