W7 are such a hit or miss kind of beauty brand, and I bought W7 HD Foundation after reading about how decent the shade range was. In the past, the W7 concealers and foundations have had awful shade ranges with just five or six shades. However, the W7 HD Foundation has twenty shades which is so much better, but there’s obviously still room for more shades, but it’s definitely a start.
W7 HD Foundation
The W7 HD Foundation is £4.50 on the W7 website, and you might even be able to find it cheaper on eBay and Amazon. For a budget foundation, the packaging is lovely with a frosted clear glass bottle and a red pump. You can also unscrew the pump, to get all of the product out when you’re nearly finished which is always a bonus.
“The W7 HD Foundation is a rich and creamy foundation formulated for a buildable, light to medium coverage lasting up to 12 hours.
Thanks to its pump applicator, you can distribute your desired amount of product without pouring or tipping, reducing product wastage.“
I chose the palest shade in the collection, which was Rose Ivory and I never in a million years thought it would match me as W7 base products never go pale enough, but look how amazing this shade works for my super pale skin. It has a neutral undertone, with medium coverage.
I really like the finish of this foundation, as it sets to a dewy satin finish which does cling to dry patches, but is best applied with a dampened BeautyBlender and applied over the top of a hydrating primer. I can’t believe this is less than £5, it’s such a nice foundation and lasts for around four hours before it begins to fade which is pretty average for a satin finish foundation, but I would 100% repurchase and recommend.
