Clinique have launched two beautiful blush palettes in their Christmas collection; the Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette and the Clinique Warm Up Cheek Pop Blush Palette. The brand also launched two cheek palettes last Christmas and I missed out on them before they sold out, so when I saw that Clinique had brought them back for a limited time, I snapped them both up immediately as I wasn’t going to let that happen again.
Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette
Like the names suggest, one of the palettes is cool toned and the other palette is warm toned. Both palettes contain three shades of the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushers, which happen to be one of my all-time favourite blush formulas. These are limited edition palettes, but the shades inside the palette are permanent.
Each of the two palettes are £35 each, but the value of the blushers inside the palette is £57, so you’re getting an amazing deal. Last year’s version of the Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette had a pretty glitter effect on the front cover, but it was glued on glitter, and reviews commented on how much glitter falls off the front cover.
This year’s version of the Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette is a lot more practical, yet sleek with a purple plastic palette and a mirror inside the lid. It’s nice and slimline, compact and feels robust enough that it’d be perfect for travel.
“Vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless. In a silky smooth, stay-true formula with shades for every skin tone. That just-pinched look, simply effortless. In three shades to warm up your complexion.“
The Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette includes the following three Clinique Cheek Pop Blusher shades;
- Pansy Pop
- Nude Pop
- Melon Pop
I bought my palette from the Clinique UK website, but they have the three shades wrong! Clinique UK says the Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette features Ballerina Pop, Heather Pop, and Pansy Pop. It doesn’t at all, the outer box of the palette actually contains Nude Pop, Melon Pop and Pansy Pop.
I own Clinique Melon Pop, and the third shade in this palette is definitely Melon Pop so Clinique UK is definitely wrong. I don’t understand why different retailers have the names so wrong? Ignore the shade names, this palette contains a pretty lilac, a nude peach and a peachy pink, all of which have a cool undertone.
This Clinique Cool Down Cheek Pop Blush Palette is just beautiful, and the three shades look stunning on the cheeks. In this palette there’s a total of 10.5g of product, which works out at 3.5g per blusher. One full sized Clinique Cheek Pop blusher is £19 and contains 3.5g, so you’re getting three full sized blushers in the palette for just £35. I love this palette so much, and I have my review of the Warm Up Palette right here.
