Home Hacks: 3 Tips to Organize Your Bedroom

Organize your vanity

You got excited about the idea of having a vanity. You’ve organized it successfully with your current collection in mind, without really thinking about the fact that your collection will grow. Over time, your vanity turned into a cluttered mess of old and new makeup, used makeup wipes and a myriad of similar items. To start off, remove everything from your vanity. Give it a good wipe and see how you can make better use of this area.

You can use folder organizers for your eyeshadow palettes and put them on display instead of tucking them into your drawers. Once you make the space look nice and neat, enhance it with a statement décor piece. For instance, you can always go with bold pieces such as those from skullbliss.com and make your vanity a true staple of your bedroom. Finally, don’t forget to add a nice bin next or under your vanity so that you always have a place to throw used makeup wipes.

Make use of under-the-bed area

The area under our beds is the most commonly overlooked storage space in the majority of bedrooms. However, this is one of the best storage space solutions as it is not easily visible, yet it is super easily accessible. Depending on the rest of your storage space options, you can go really minimal with this area and only use it to store small things such as extra wrapping paper.

O the other hand, if you’re lacking in other storage solutions, you can use this space to store your bulky winter clothes, off-season shoes, extra bedding or anything similar. Additionally, you can choose to have a custom-made drawer that will fit in this space perfectly, or hit your local dollar store and get clear bins that fit right in. That way you can always see what’s on the inside of the bins which will make finding the things you’re looking for far easier.

Turn clutter into décor

No matter how ruthless you get with decluttering your bedroom and how innovative you get with organizing it, you will still be left with some things you can’t simply get rid of or tuck away, yet that contribute to visual mess when not in use.

Some of those items most commonly include throw blankets and pillows. When used to decorate your bed they do really look neat. However, when it’s time to take them off, people usually don’t know where to put them, so they end up piling them on a nearby chair. What you can do instead is to get a beautiful wicker basket and store such items in it next to your bed. This way, you will get both perks of having a practical thing to store your items in while having it look nice and aesthetically pleasing as well.

These were just some of the ways you can get both creative and innovative when organizing your bedroom. The end goal is always the same – to create an environment that’s easy to use and clutter-free. How you manage to get there will be entirely up to you and your personal preferences.
