Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow

The Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise is a range of a shimmery cream eyeshadows, and I bought the Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow alongside two other shades in the brand’s amazing Black Friday deals. They had upto 50% discount, and I got three full size shades of my choice for less than the price of two.

The Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow was previously named Marie Antoinette, and Charlotte Tilbury renamed a lot of her products this year. I have reviewed another of the shades on my blog previously (Cleopatra), which was a super vibrant teal, and a limited edition shade, whereas the Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow is part of the permanent range.

Each of the shades is £22 and are packaged within a frosted glass jar, with a burgundy coloured plastic lid. I love cream eyeshadows, and they have a tendency to dry out quickly if the lid’s not secured tightly. I didn’t have any drying out issues with Cleopatra, so I knew I’d want to try more shades.

On the Charlotte Tilbury Instagram page, the brand’s makeup artists share quick makeup application videos, and many makeup looks begin by applying one of these cream eyeshadows, and they always look so pretty and metallic.

The Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl Eyes to Mesmerise Eyeshadow is a cool toned brown in the jar, but as soon as it’s applied to the lids, the shade warms up a little as shown in the swatch above. I think it’s because of the golden shimmer, but it’s a stunning shade regardless, and creates the prettiest neutral smokey eye in a matter of seconds.

You can also go for a lighter layer for just a wash of colour, and powder shadows layer nicely over the top too. I really like how creamy they are, as they apply as if they’re a mousse and they’re just so easy to apply both with your fingertip or a brush. Sometimes shimmery cream eyeshadows, like MAC Paint Pots, are best applied with your fingertips, but the Eyes To Mesmerise shadows are really versatile and this shade would suit any skintone, and any age too.
