The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara was just one of the launches Charlotte Tilbury launched in 2020. It was a very busy year for the brand, and the Pillow Talk collection was expanded multiple times throughout the year with even more products. It had been a while since we saw a new Charlotte Tilbury mascara, and as they’d launched a mini size at the same time they launched the full size version, I decided to give the mini size a try.

I’m not entirely sure why, but I often find that miniature sized tubes of mascara can last as long as a full sized tube. I guess it’s because there’s less product to go dry through regular use, but they’re ideal for trying a new mascara formula to see if you like it enough to purchase the full size.

The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara is £23 for the 10ml full sized version, and is £12 for a 4ml travel sized version. For a mascara, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara has really pretty packaging. With a blush pink coloured tube and a rose gold metallic lid.
I was really intrigued by this particular mascara as the brush looked really unique. The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara is relatively flat on two sides, which you can press against the roots of your lashes, and the sides have lots of little spikes to separate the lashes. I like that the bristles aren’t too long, but they’re spaced apart enough to allow you to comb through your lashes without having them clump together.
The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara is a very dark, dramatic mascara, and it does a nice job at lengthening my lashes, as well as making them appear thicker too.
The one downside for me is how much product gathers on the flat sides of the brush – which you can see in the photo above. It can’t be scraped off by the valve in the tube, so it just lingers on the brush which can be a little messy, but it’s easy enough to wipe with a tissue or cotton bud to minimise the excess product.
I really like the formula, and I don’t ever notice flaking, crumbling or smudging during use, so I’d definitely repurchase the larger size once this tube has been used up. It’s made me excited to try more Charlotte Tilbury mascaras now, and I fancy trying one with a natural bristled brush next, so an order for the Legendary Lashes 2 Mascara is imminent….
