Essence are forever launching new products, and the Essence Sun Club Natural Glow Bronzing Powder is a new version of their old Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder. I decided to try this particular bronzer as it’s available in two shades which are different tones, and I thought the Cool Tone shade would be perfect for contouring.
Essence Sun Club Natural Glow Bronzing Powder
“Let it shine! With this powder bronzer, a natural, sun-kissed glow is guaranteed, because it contains light-reflecting pigments that perfectly highlight every complexion. The pressed texture with a gorgeous embossed pattern and soft coconut fragrance is available in a cool and a warm shade.”
Priced at £2.99, the Essence Sun Club Natural Glow Bronzing Powder is very affordable, and you get 9g of product within a clear, round, plastic compact with a starburst design on the pan. I have one negative with this bronzer, and it’s how soft it is.
The softness of the powder lends itself well for blending into the skin, but the powder pan crumbles and flakes off extremely easily – as you can see in the photo above. I really look after my makeup, and the pan is breaking up already which will only get worse as the pan thins during use. It’s definitely not a bronzer you could carry around in a makeup bag, as it would just shatter unfortunately.
I chose the Essence Sun Club Natural Glow Bronzing Powder in the shade “Cool Tone”, but there’s also a “Warm Tone” shade too depending on your tone preferences for a bronzer. In the pan this shade looks like a grey toned bronze, but it does warm up a little once applied to the skin.
Not massively so, but I do wish it translated as cool toned as it is in the pan, as it’s a great contouring shade. For £2.99 it’s such a bargain, and blends nicely into the skin with a natural, satin finish, and just like the other Sun Club bronzers, the Essence Sun Club Natural Glow Bronzing Powder has an amazing coconut scent too.
