Technic is now available at more stockists, even Wilko, which makes their products a lot more accessible. The Technic Mousse Eyeshadow Creams really appealed to me as I love cream eyeshadows, and they looked like they could potentially give the ColourPop Super Shock Shadows a run for their money.
Technic Mousse Eyeshadow Cream
I ordered three shades of the Technic Mousse Eyeshadow Cream in an online Wilko order, as there were some Essence products I wanted too. I’ve always hated that Essence is available in Wilko stores, as their displays are a total nightmare with ruined broken packaging, and sure enough, one of my shadows arrived with smashed packaging.
Not just the plastic lid either, the plastic base compact is smashed too. I’ve never seen a product that’s been smashed all the way through to the base compact holding the pan. I don’t know what Wilko do with their products, but whenever I order makeup online, something always arrives broken which is really disappointing. Sure they’re only £2, and that’s super affordable, but it puts me off ever ordering from them again to be honest.
I chose two shades of the Technic Mousse Eyeshadow Cream and one shade of the Technic Diamond Shine Eyeshadow Cream. I couldn’t see an explanation which would explain the difference between the two, but I *think* the Diamond Shine shades have more shimmer compared to the standard Mousse formula.
The three shades I chose were; Blondie, Chocolate Mousse and Golden Topaz. Ignoring the packaging, the formula of these eyeshadows are beautiful. They’re extremely smooth and creamy, and perform like a liquid/cream eyeshadow. Blondie is a champagne, Chocolate Mousse is a dark brown, and Golden Topaz is a warm gold.
Even though the formula is super emollient, it doesn’t crease or fade quickly like some cream eyeshadows can. You can’t apply shadows over the top of them, as it does make them bunch up or gather, but when applied on their own, they do look pretty on the lids. I don’t know how long they’ll last in the compacts, or if they’ll dry out as quickly as Super Shock Shadows, but I’ll update this post if I find that happening.
