Aldi Hotel Collection Blackberry & Bay No.2 Candle

I’m a massive fan of the Aldi candles, and whenever I see a candle I’ve not tried before, like the Aldi Hotel Collection Blackberry & Bay No.2 Candle, I just can’t help myself from purchasing it. I must have tried twelve different Aldi candles in the last year alone, and I’ve not found one disappointing candle. They always burn very well, have decent scent throw and burn cleanly too.

“Add a touch of elegance to your home with the addition of this Blackberry & Bay Glass Candle by Hotel Collection. Giving your home a cosy warmth with the flicker of the flame, the delicious smell will comfort you throughout cold evenings.”

The Aldi Hotel Collection Blackberry & Bay No.2 Candle is £3.49, and contains 310g of wax and has two wicks. This candle is part of the Aldi Hotel Collection, which also includes other home fragranced products such as hand wash, hand cream, reed diffusers and more.

Many of the Hotel Collection products are labelled as being dupes for Jo Malone products. This candle is very much ‘inspired’ by the Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay collection. The 200g candle from Jo Malone is £49, whereas the Aldi Hotel Collection Blackberry & Bay No.2 Candle is £3.49. I’ve never tried the Jo Malone version, so it’s difficult to compare, but for under £4, it’s a fantastic candle.

The Aldi Hotel Collection Blackberry & Bay No.2 Candle is housed within a clear, glass jar with a weighty silver metal lid. The candle has a pretty, textured purple label on the front of the jar, and it looks so luxe considering how affordable it is. It’s a really nice scent, and has the fruity notes from the blackberry, and a herbal twist thanks to the bay.

If you’ve never tried any of the Aldi candles before, I can’t recommend them enough. They are just as good as Yankee Candle, except they’re considerably more affordable, and I actually think they’re more nicely presented too.

I think the Hotel Collection candles and reed diffusers would make gorgeous gifts, and it’s always worth keeping an eye out for when the candles are in stock on their website, as they’re always very popular.
