The Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush launched back in October, alongside the Water Jelly Primer and #FauxFilter Foundation Sticks, both of which I’ve already reviewed here on my blog. This brush was created to work seamlessly with their new foundation sticks, and it’s an amazing two in one makeup brush.
Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush
“An Airbushed Finish.
Designed for the perfect application of all foundation formulas, this synthetic fiber brush gives you controlled and precision blending every time.”
The Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush features a translucent grey plastic handle, and on either end of the handle, there’s a brush head with gunmetal ferrules. One side of the brush is called the Build Brush, and the opposite side is the Buff Brush, and both have different uses and benefits.
You can obviously use this brush for absolutely any foundation, but it was specifically designed with the Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation Sticks in mind. With the sticks, I tend to ‘draw’ a little line on each of my cheeks, my chin, forehead and nose, and then go in with the Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush to blend it all in.
This is the rounded end of the Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush, which is known as being the ‘Buff’ Brush, which features a rounded brush head with a flat surface and rounded edges. It has densely-packed bristles that make for optimal application for seamless buffing and blending.
The second end of the Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush is the ‘Build’ Brush which features a pyramid shaped bristle design, that has been perfectly shaped to reach trickier areas around the nose. It also helps to make building up coverage on targeted areas extra easy, as well as working well for touch-ups throughout the day.
Both ends of the Huda Beauty Build and Buff Foundation Brush feature synthetic, extremely soft bristles, which work well for cream and liquid foundation formulas. It’s such a well made, sturdy brush which feels very luxe. I’ve never tried any of the Huda Beauty brushes before, so I had no idea what to expect, but I really love this brush.
My favourite ‘end’ of the brush is the ‘Buff’ brush as it blends foundation so quickly, and never leaves any streaks or brush marks on the skin. It also works amazingly well with the even newer, Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Foundation too, and I have a full review of that foundation coming on my blog very soon.
