Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Review

Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Review

The Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara is the newest Lancôme mascara, and launched back in December over in the USA. It finally reached UK soil back in January, and I was really excited to give it a try. I own and love the Lancôme Idôle Eau de Parfum which I reviewed here on my blog back in 2019, shortly after it launched.

It’s such a beautiful fragrance, and following the success of the fragrance, the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara was developed, with Zendaya fronting the campaign, just like she did for the Lancôme Lash Idôle Eau de Parfum.

Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Review

The Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara is £23.50, and is housed within a metallic pink rectangular tube, with squared edges and black accents. It looks so luxe and modern, and it’s my favourite design on any Lancôme mascaras I’ve tried.

So what makes the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara so special? It is a revolutionary non-clumping mascara which has been designed to target every single eyelash, for instantly longer, lifted eyelashes. This mascara features a pioneering brush and jet black gel emulsion formulation that provides a fanned-out volume effect with a weightless feel.

Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Review

The Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara features a staggering 125 different bristle sizes, and 360 micro-bristled, with the Lash Idôle’s new innovative arch curved™ brush that has been engineered to capture every single lash. It’s special arc shape means it adapts to the lash line, ensuring even the smallest lashes are evenly coated in mascara for a fuller, fanned effect.

Lancôme describes the mascara as having a feather light gel formula in order to give you feathery soft lashes, which is also easy to remove at the end of the day. The elastomer brush has a subtle curve meaning it can coat the lashes in the inner and outer corner at the same time, making it super quick and easy to apply.

My favourite Lancôme mascara is their Définicils Mascara, but the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara has definitely taken the top spot, as I love the effect it has on my lashes. My lashes are short, straight and pathetic, but this mascara manages to add noticeable length and volume all in one.

Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara Review

Usually mascaras either deliver on volume, or deliver on length, and never deliver them both as it’s an either or situation in the mascara world. However, the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara leaves my lashes looking noticeably longer, thicker, and lifted.

It also has a very dark formula, making my lashes look considerably fuller which is something I very much appreciate. I like that the formula doesn’t smudge, flake or crumble, and it makes my lashes feel soft thanks to the feather light gel formula.

I’ve found that the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara delivers in just one generous coat, but it really wows in the second coat, without clumping or making my lashes stick together. If I had to compare it to a drugstore mascara, it’d be the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, but I prefer the Lancôme Lash Idôle Mascara formula as it’s so comfortable and softening on the lashes.
