Collection Primed & Ready Dewy Fixing Spray
Collection has to be one of the most hit and miss makeup brands available in the UK. Some of their products (like the Lasting Perfection Concealer) are truly brilliant, but some are extremely poor (like the HD Setting Powder).
It feels like there’s never a middle ground, so it’s a bit of a gamble when purchasing their products. I decided to give the Collection Primed & Ready Dewy Fixing Spray a try, as it was half price at Superdrug, and thought it wouldn’t be too bad if it was a disappointment as it was only £2.99.
“Stay selfie ready with Primed & Ready make-up fixing spray. The lightweight mist will help prolong make-up wear with a fresh dewy finish.”
The Collection Primed & Ready Dewy Fixing Spray is £5.99 and contains 100ml of product within a silver coloured plastic bottle, with a pump dispenser. When it describes itself as being dewy, it basically contains lots of shimmer, so you have to shake the bottle very thoroughly before use, otherwise it sprays lumps of shimmer all over your face.
The one negative I have with the Collection Primed & Ready Dewy Fixing Spray is the very strong chemical scent it is. It’s not quite an alcohol scent like many setting sprays do, but it smells like something you shouldn’t be applying to the skin.
The scent doesn’t linger thankfully, but it’s still unpleasant nonetheless. Even an aloe vera scent would be better, just to disguise the chemical scent it has. It leaves a shimmery glow on the skin rather than dewy, but it’s nice to use, although I can’t say that it does prolong the longevity of my makeup. I don’t think I’d repurchase it, as I’ve found setting sprays I’ve enjoyed more from Revolution, but it wasn’t as disappointing as their powder, so that’s definitely a positive!
