I have another Aldi beauty gem to share with you today, and it’s another Aldi perfume. The Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum is one of their most recent offerings, and I’ve raved about their amazing Marc Jacobs Daisy dupe here on my blog before.
Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum
Aldi nail it when it comes to creating very, very similar products to higher priced beauty products, and the Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum is said to be a dupe for the Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud Cologne.
The Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum is £5.99 for 100ml, whereas the Jo Malone version is £128 for 100ml.
The difference is quite considerable, and whilst I haven’t tried the original Jo Malone fragrance, the visual differences are quite remarkable too.
“Treat yourself or a loved one to an opulent experience with this Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau De Parfum. With top notes of cloves, sumptuous middle notes of damask rose and agarwood and praline, this rich scent is sure to appeal to the senses.“
The Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum is housed within a glossy, black glass bottle with a gold chrome lid and gold foil accents on the labels.
If you didn’t know Hotel Collection was Aldi’s fragrance brand, there’s no way you’d guess this was a £6 perfume. It exudes luxury, which is crazy considering how affordable it is.
If you like true, authentic rose fragrances, you’ll love the Aldi Hotel Collection Velvety Rose Eau de Parfum. It smells like a bouquet of fresh roses, and lasts very well on the skin.
It boasts an impressive sillage, and it reminds me of a rosier version of Stella McCartney Stella. For £5.99, it’s an absolute bargain, and if you see it instore, give it a sniff, as it’s one you need to try!
