I reviewed the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Hand Cream back in October of last year, and it’s crazy how much the world has changed since then. I’ve tried so many hand creams, but it’s a hand cream I’ve repurchased three times since last year. I bought the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Hand Cream to see how it compared to the original Aveeno hand cream.
Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Hand Cream
“Formulated with a Prebiotic Triple Oat Complex* (Oat Flour + Oat Extract + Oat Oil) and shea butter. The cream moisturises very dry hands.
It absorbs quickly and is clinically proven to help restore the skin’s natural barrier. The formula helps to improve the balance of the skin’s natural microbiome. It leaves skin feeling more resilient and healthy-looking from day 1.“
Prior to the global crisis, I was an obsessive hand washer but it’s a whole new level now, and my hands hate me for it. I decided the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Hand Cream might be a better formula, as it’s supposedly for ‘very dry hands’. The formula is very comparable to the original, except it is a little richer.
If I had to use them both blindfolded, I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the two. They’re both quick to absorb, and they’re both unscented. The only difference between them, is how often I need to apply them. The ‘green’ Aveeno is a hand cream I need to apply a couple of times a day as needed, but the Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Hand Cream keeps my hands hydrated for longer.
They both work amazingly on my psoriasis, and they’ve worked wonders on keeping my hands super soft and comfortable. I do a hell of a lot of swatches for my blog, and it does leave my hands very dry but this hand cream stops my hands from becoming dry. It also keeps my cuticles hydrated too, and it’s a hand cream I’ll forever purchase.
