I reviewed my first Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream back in the beginning of March, which was the shade Mogul. Mogul is a beautiful, vintage nude-rose shade, and if you prefer a deep, vampier lip colour, the Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick would be the perfect choice.
Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick
“Saturated in pigment, the creamy texture glides on with an intense color release from the first swipe, creating a lacquer-like sheen which highlights and enhances the natural contours of your pout.
Demi Matte lipsticks are formulated with a hint of menthol, specially designed to deliver a temporary cooling effect and tingling sensation that leaves the lips looking visibly plumper.“
The Huda Beauty Demi Matte formula is said to be ideal for those that love the intense colour payoff of a liquid lipstick, but prefer the gloss and sheen of a lip gloss.
There are fifteen shades to choose from, and they’re £18 each. Huda describes them as being a bold cream lipstick, that showcases a full spectrum of ultra-feminine colours to complement every one of your alter egos.
The Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick is enriched with Maxi-Lip, which stimulates collagen and hydrates the lips throughout wear, Demi Matte sets to a satin finish that lasts for hours with extreme comfort, without dehydrating the lips.
Each of the fifteen shades are packaged within the same packaging and format as the Lip Strobes, with a clear to black ombre plastic tube, with a firm, doefoot applicator.
I love the outer packaging for the Huda Beauty lip products too, with the lip shape on the box, which gives you a great representation of the shade inside the packet, so you know what it’d look like on the lips.
The Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick is the deepest shade available within the collection, and it’s a super intense dark berry. It reminds me of MAC Cyber Lipstick, in a cream highly pigmented formula. It has the same vampy intensity, and the colour payoff is fantastic. This swatch is just two swipes of the Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick.
Usually, deep and intense lip colours tend to have a sheerer formula which needs to be built up, but Bawse is intense and definitely makes a statement. I am a nude lip kinda girl, but Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick would be the perfect autumnal berry lip, or for when you want a statement lip.
Once first applied, Bawse has a pretty sheen, and the sheen does dissipate over a couple of hours, and you’re left with an intense satin lip, and it stains the lips too, so it’s not the kind of lip colour you can change halfway through the day, as Bawse lingers all day, even once the lipstick itself has faded. If the Huda Beauty Bawse Demi Matte Cream Lipstick is too bold for your liking, there’s 14 other shades to choose form, and you can see them all on the Huda Beauty website.
