The Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream is part of the Boots Ingredients skincare collection, which looks like it’s inspired by The Ordinary. The products have simple and basic packaging, and they’re each themed by an ingredient like Glycolic Acid or Hyaluronic Acid.
Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream
I have already tried the Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Sleep Mask and I have to admit, I didn’t like it very much. The entire Boots Ingredients skincare collection is super affordable, so I decided to give another product a try, and I love using hand cream, so I ordered the Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream to try.
What is it? Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream, With plant derived Hyaluronic Acid, this hand cream leave the skin feeling intensely moisturised.
What is it good for?
- Hydrates skin.
- Skin looks brighter.
- Skin feels refreshed.
- Vegan
- Not tested on animals
- We are proud to say we have used 35% recycled plastic in this tube.
The Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream is £4 and contains 85ml of product within a pale pink plastic tube, with a black flip top lid. The prices on all of the Boots Ingredients products are really affordable, just like The Ordinary, and 85ml is a generous size for a hand cream too.
The Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Hand Cream is white, and has almost a gel like consistency. It feels very thin and viscous, and massages into the skin as easily as a serum. I’ve never tried a hand cream with a consistency as thin as this before, it doesn’t feel like a hand cream.
I like how quick it absorbs, but it doesn’t feel like it actually penetrates the skin. Whenever I wash my hands after using this hand cream, it becomes greasy on contact with water and comes off.
It’s almost like it dries down to a film on the skin which feels smooth, but it doesn’t actually absorb like a hand cream should. It doesn’t hydrate the hands either, it just leaves the surface of the skin feeling smooth, which is so strange, but I had a similar experience with their Sleeping Mask.
Whilst at £4 it is affordable, but I can buy a £2 Vaseline hand cream, and it will actually hydrate the hands, and doesn’t rinse off on contact with water. It’s a strange one, and I’m not sure if I’d try anything else from the Boots Ingredients range as both the products I’ve tried have been really disappointing.
