Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme
I’ve tried a lot of the Ole Henriksen skincare range, and their Truth collection is one of their bestsellers. The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme is a product I can’t recall ever trying, so I couldn’t wait to finally give it a try. I have tried numerous products from the Truth collection, which is a vitamin C enriched edit of brightening, firming skincare favourites.
“Wake up before you makeup with your favorite under eye brightening cream. OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright eye cream brightens and instantly targets fine lines and wrinkles, delivering age-defying results.
Collagen-boosted, it firms and deeply hydrates even as it feels deliciously lightweight making this your go to vitamin c eye cream that promises to help revive and illuminate the entire eye area over time.”
The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme is £33 and contains 15ml of product within an orange plastic jar, with a white lid. This eye cream was inspired by the popular makeup artistry trend of using ‘banana’ powder, to help brighten the under-eye area.
Ole Henriksen created this eye cream to have a sunny yellow colour, and contains special pigments to instantly brighten and colour correct the eye area. In addition to making the eye contour area looking brighter, it claims to create a smooth, well rested canvas ready for makeup, and is actually proven to improve the longevity of your concealer.
As far as eye creams go, the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme is quite thick, and I did worry how well it’d layer under makeup, but it works really well. It’s so smooth and easy to massage into the skin, and I’ve been using an eye roller to help massage it in, and within a minute or two, the skin is ready for makeup, and it doesn’t cause any creasing issues like some eye creams can.
It has a subtle orange scent, like the rest of the Truth collection, and it’s so pleasant to apply. The colour looks quite deep in the jar, but it doesn’t impart any colour to the skin, so you don’t have to worry about it peeping through your foundation, as I’ve not noticed any residual colour, so you can use it on no makeup days.
I love how brighten the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme is on my under eyes, and I’ve been using it mixed with the equally amazing Ole Henriksen Wrinkle Blur Bakuchiol Eye Gel Creme for the perfect blurred, brightened and hydrated effect around the eyes.
