L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayon Review / Swatches

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayon Review Swatches

The L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayons launched back in February in the US, but it took a few months for them to arrive in the UK. I really rate L’Oreal lip products, so I decided to pick up a couple of shades, as the formula sounded like the perfect, comfortable matte.

The L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayon is available in fourteen shades, and is £9.99. It’s a retractable, twist-up lipstick crayon, and I chose the shade Lavender Honey, as it looked like a really pretty wearable nude which would go with any eye makeup look.

The first swatch above, is the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayon swatched in one single swipe, and the second swatch is five swipes of the lipstick. As you can see, it’s not an opaque formula in one swipe, and it does need building up back and forth in order to get full opacity.

Honey Lavender is a lot more brown than the swatches on the L’Oreal website, and it’s also warmed toned, which surprised me, as it’s described as being cool toned. It’s almost a milk chocolate brown shade on the lips, but in the bullet, it looks more rosy toned, so that’s strange.

It’s down to personal preference, but I don’t think brown toned nude shades like this one suit me, so I don’t love how the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Lip Crayon in Honey Lavender looks on me.

I would, however, look at the other shades available, as the formula is nice. It’s a little drying, but drugstore matte lipsticks tend to be on the drier side, and it does last for a good five hours before fading which is impressive for an under £10 lipstick.
