Whenever Revolution launch a new product, it’s always exciting to see if the product is a potential high-end dupe, and when the Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Matte Bronzer launched, the packaging and claims reminded me of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer, and I couldn’t wait to try it, to see if the formula was a dupe?
“These large matte bronzers are a makeup bag essential for an all year-round tan. Use for face and body bronzing. Now available in 8 shades; Fair, Fair Light, Light, Medium, Medium Dark, Dark, Deep and Deep Dark, with an added coconut and pineapple fragrance to invite summer in everyday!“
The Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Matte Bronzer is £8, and contains 15.5g of product within a rose gold chrome effect compact. It’s a massive bronzer, with a lot of product for your money, so it’s perfect for using on the face and body. The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer is also massive, with 16g, so I think Revolution really were trying to emulate their bronzer.
The Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Matte Bronzer is available in eight different shades, which is an amazingly inclusive shade range for a drugstore bronzer. I chose the shade Fair, which is the lightest shade in the range, and it’s a pale skin friendly shade.
In terms of formula, the bronzer is smooth and silky, blends easily and wears well on the skin, with at least six hours of wear before fading begins to happen. For £8, it’s one of the nicest drugstore bronzers I’ve tried in a long time.
It’s not my favourite ever Revolution bronzer, which is their now discontinued Revolution Contour Duo, which I’m still gutted about, but if you’re looking for a natural looking bronzer, which doesn’t pull too orange, the Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Matte Bronzer is a great affordable bronzer, with an inclusive shade range.
