I first discovered the AXIS-Y skincare brand back in April, and I was instantly impressed by their AXIS-Y Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule and AXIS-Y Daily Purifying Treatment Toner. Since trying those two products, AXIS-Y have gone on to launch a whole host of products, including the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks.
If you’ve never come across the AXIS-Y brand before, they’re a fantastic K Beauty climate inspired skincare brand, and they’re based in Seoul, South Korea. I love using face masks, but there’s something so therapeutic and relaxing when using sheet masks, so I was particularly excited to try the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks.
The entire AXIS-Y skincare range is produced with only skin-loving ingredients, so you know you’re getting the very best quality ingredients inside their products. Not only that, the products are all certified vegan and is EWG graded skincare which is cruelty free, paraben free, mineral oil free, no artificial fragrances and no artificial colours either.
When AXIS-Y make reference to their ‘climate inspired skincare’, they pride themselves on creating natural climate based skincare products, with their formulas being influenced by growing pollution, stressors and climate change – all of which are issues that effect everyone, regardless of where they live. In addition, with the rise of travelling, more people have realised the potential skin concerns arising by their climate and the need for more personalised skincare.
“This sheet mask is made with plant-based cellulose fiber enriched with 61% of Mugwort extract. The texture delivers a rich moisture feeling without the heaviness and helps the skin control sebum production and reverse skin damage.“
The AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks are available to purchase individually for $4 each, or you can buy the box set of five masks for $18, which I think is an excellent price for five sheet masks. It works out to being just $3.60 per sheet mask, which is a really great price. All of the AXIS-Y products are so nicely packaged, but these masks look so cool, as they have transparent packaging, so you can see all of the liquid (and the mask) inside the packet.
I had to show you this up-close photo, so you could see how extremely saturated these sheet masks are. I’ve never found a sheet mask to come with so much extra liquid / product, so you could keep the packet and apply the remaining liquid over the following days, so as not to waste a precious drop, but considering how affordable the masks are, it’s even more amazing how much product you’re getting inside each of the masks.
The AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks are a refreshing ‘detox green juice’ inspired sheet mask, which have been designed to address inner, outer, mental health, skin health and environmental health all-in-one.
Each of these sheet masks feature an amazingly rich, luxurious formula of 15 extracts and 61% mugwort all coming together in the form of a plant-based fiber sheet – wow! These sheet masks are part of the AXIS-Y 6-1-1 skincare collection, with products all centring around having six nutrient-rich base ingredients, one core goal-orientated ingredient, and one quality producing effective technology, utilising natural, effective ingredients.
The key ingredients within the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks are as follows;
- Centella Asiatica – Boosts skins natural healing process and soothes irritated skin
- Cabbage – Helps lower the temperature of skin to soothe inflammation
- Spinach – Contains large amounts of minerals to help the skin absorb nutrients
- Peony Root – Provides antioxidant benefits and aids in regenerating skin
- Okra – Moisturizes skin, relieves inflammation, and strengthens skin barrier
- Broccoli – Rich in Vitamin C and E which helps to lighten hyperpigmentation
Each of the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks have a thin, silky fabric composition which is easy to smooth over the face, with generous holes for the mouth, eyes and nose. Many brands only give us a tiny slit for the nose with sheet masks, which I hate, but AXIS-Y have a rectangular cut-out, so your nostrils aren’t covered.
It’s amazing how many ‘green’ ingredients are packed inside the formula, and the idea of the mask being inspired by a ‘detox green juice’ did leave me wondering whether I’d find the masks to be too drying for my sensitive and dry skin. However, they not at all drying, and if anything, I find them to be hydrating, incredible soothing and leave my skin feeling and looking so much brighter and healthier; almost like how you feel after drinking green detox juices.
I’ve had a few food-based allergic reactions over the past few months, and the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks have been a godsend for me, in reducing inflammation and discomfort, and I can’t wait to show you some more AXIS-Y skincare treats over the coming weeks.
