The Beauty Pie Pro Glow Highlighter launched as part of the Beauty Pie Christmas collection, and it looked absolutely stunning on their website, so I was excited to give it a try. I’ve dabbled with Beauty Pie on/off over the years, and I just didn’t love their monthly spending limits, so I ended up cancelling my subscription.
However, they recently introduced an annual subscription plan called Beauty Pie Plus, where for £59 for the year, you don’t have any monthly spending limits, but over the twelve months, you can place orders up to £3600 in value – so the ‘full’ prices of items, which is a lot less restrictive, and I signed up, excited that I didn’t have to worry about monthly subscriptions any more.

If you’re new to Beauty Pie, you can read all about how Beauty Pie works, but it’s essentially a beauty membership service, which allows you to purchase products at a discount. Every product on the Beauty Pie website has two prices; a member price, and a full price.
When you’re a member, you can pay for the lower ‘member’ price, but the full price is what counts towards your monthly or annual spending limits. The Beauty Pie Pro Glow Highlighter is £11.50 for members, but if you don’t want to subscribe to either of their membership plans, the Beauty Pie Pro Glow Highlighter is £30.
“From Italy. This sophisticated, weightless, shimmering highlighter-illuminator can be swept on lightly for a subtle sheen, applied directly (with a dense brush or fingertips) for more spot ‘lighting’, or used with a soft powder brush for a sheer, smooth and retextured luminous finish. It’s luxurious, silky and long-lasting, and gives skin an instant radiance. Patented-powder technology.“
The Beauty Pie Pro Glow Highlighter is housed within a gold chrome compact, and the pan has a pretty criss-cross design. Inside the compact, you’re getting a generous 8g / 0.28oz of product, and it is a limited edition product, so it won’t be around for long.
Before trying this highlighter, I had no idea it was made in Italy, but from the very first use, it was obvious it was a baked gelée formula, and the formula reminds me of the Laura Geller Baker Gelato Swirl Illuminators. They’re pretty much identical, with the same wet-look glow, and intense shimmer finish.
The Beauty Pie Pro Glow Highlighter is available in just one shade, which is Knock-Out Gold. I wish there had been other shades available, as this one shade isn’t going to work for everyone.
It’s a medium warm-toned gold, which is a little too deep for my skintone, but it’s undoubtedly beautiful. It’s so smooth and applies almost like a liquid highlighter, with no glitter or chunky particles.
I would love Beauty Pie to create a shade similar to the Laura Geller Charming Pink shade, with a soft pink hue, as it’d look more flattering on my skintone, but the quality is fantastic, and for £11.50 (for members), it’s an amazing highlighter, and such a shame it’s limited edition.
