AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment Review

I have another lovely skincare product to share with you today, and this time it’s the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a few AXIS-Y products with you recently, including the AXIS-Y Green Vital Energy Complex Sheet Masks, which really wowed me.

When asked if I’d like to try the new AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment, it was an instant yes as I love trying new spot treatments, ever since my favourite treatment was discontinued from Vichy.

Whenever sharing products from AXIS-Y, I like to give you some background about the brand, for those that may not have experienced the brand for themselves. AXIS-Y are a K Beauty climate inspired brand based in Seoul in South Korea.

All of the products within the AXIS-Y skincare range are manufactured with high quality skin-loving ingredients, and the formulas are paraben free, mineral oil free, as well as having no artificial fragrances and no artificial colours either. They’re also a cruelty free skincare brand, plus they’re certified vegan; so they tick all of the right boxes and more.

When a brand makes a claim about being offering ‘climate inspired skincare’, what do they actually mean? Well, AXIS-Y create natural climate based skincare products, with their formulas being influenced by growing pollution, stressors and climate change – all of which are issues that affect everyone, regardless of where they live. More and more skincare brands are including claims connected to climate and external aggressors, and that’s exactly what AXIS-Y are about, as a brand.

AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment

Formulated for acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin, Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment provides effective relief from breakouts and blemishes. This light gel is also infused with hydrating Ceramide capsules to help restore the skin barrier.

As a beauty blogger that reviews beauty products, I always hunt out reviews before trying anything new, and the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment has 40 rave reviews on the brand’s website, which made me excited to give it a try, especially with the claims.

One of the things I like the most about the AXIS-Y skincare, is their branding and packaging designs. Everything has a clean, clinical vibe, with products looking like they could’ve been prescribed by a dermatologist, but the prices are all very reasonable. With the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment being just $16, and it contains 15ml / 0.50 fl.oz of product.

Many brands claim to be K Beauty inspired, but they’re manufactured elsewhere in the world. Whereas, the AXIS-Y products are actually made in Korea, so you know you’re getting authentic K Beauty skincare products and formulations.

AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment Review

I find it really hard to find a “good” spot treatment which will help treat your active breakout, but won’t dry out the skin at the same time. Many treatments are so harsh and focus on the blemish, but the skin is left dry and peeling surrounding the breakout, which makes it hard to conceal, and it can often end up looking worse.

The AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment has the perfect formula, where it’s designed to provide quick relief and noticeable results and will ensure that with every drop, you can truly spot the difference. The formula features all of the actives you need to treat the blemish, but the lightweight gel formula is also infused with hydrating ceramide capsules, to help restore the skin barrier.

This viscous gel treatment has a pipette dispenser, allowing for hygienic dispensing, and can be patted into the problem area, before you go ahead with the rest of your skincare routine. I’m really impressed with how far the product goes, with one drop from the pipette being enough for a very large area, so it’d work well for body acne too, as the viscous consistency spreads so easily across the skin.

There’s a pleasant cooling sensation when applying the alcohol-free AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment, and it feels as if you’ve applied a hydrating serum than it does a blemish treatment. With zero residue or stickiness, so you can apply makeup over the top very easily.

When I first applied the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment, it was at night on two brewing breakouts before going to bed, and I was surprised that there was no stinging, burning or sensitivity issues. Many breakout treatments tend to have some level of tingle due to the actives, but you can’t feel anything when applying this AXIS-Y treatment, which is particularly beneficial for those of us with sensitive skin.

The next morning, one of the breakouts had almost completely disappeared, and the other, which was more advanced, had become considerably less angry looking. I didn’t expect to see such noticeable results with just one application. I’ve tried the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment on blemishes which are just beginning to surface, and active breakouts, and it performs amazingly well in both instances.

One of the things I hate the most about having breakouts, is the lengthy period of time I have the discolouration and acne scarring whilst the skin heals. My skin never heals quickly, and it can take weeks for my skin to look ‘normal’, but using the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment meant the scarring and healing stage was massively reduced, with a reduction in inflammation, texture and discolouration.

I didn’t even anticipate that benefit from using the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment. It’s amazing how such a gentle, skin-friendly blemish treatment can be so effective, but it’s a fantastic product, and one I’d highly recommend.
