The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask is an old favourite of mine, but in the nine years I’ve been blogging, I’ve never dedicated a whole post to the mask, so I decided that needed to be rectified. I’m a fan of every Origins face mask I’ve tried, with this mask, the Clear Improvement Mask and Drink Up Mask being my favourites.
I caught Covid in the middle of January, and was extremely poorly, and whilst I’m only now starting to feel slightly better, my skin has definitely not recovered, and is the driest it’s ever been. Which is pretty crazy considering my skin has always been super dry and dehydrated. It’s uncomfortable, tight, and I’m applying all of the skincare all day long to try and remedy the extreme dryness and discomfort.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask
Whenever my skin’s feeling dry, I tend to reach for either the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask or the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, using them both as overnight face masks.
To be honest, they’re quite similar in terms of results, but if I had to choose a favourite from the two, it would be the Clinique version, but the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask is still a really great mask for when your skin’s feeling dry and depleted of moisture.
“Infused with NEW Glacier Water, Hyaluronic Acid & Avocado Butter, Drink Up™ Intensive drenches extra thirsty skin in 72 hours of non-stop hydration. Plus, it treats skin with lasting nourishment. It’s all day, every day superfood-infused hydration—while you sleep.“
The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Hydrating Mask has a gel cream consistency, which is massaged into the skin at night, and Origins recommend that you ’tissue off’ the mask, but that’s pointless in my opinion, as you need to leave the mask to fully penetrate the skin whilst you sleep.
I’ve been using this mask as a moisturiser a few times a week, in a light layer for extra hydration, but it’s best applied in a generous layer before bed. It really does a nice job at reducing the tight sensation, and discomfort without feeling too rich or heavy on the skin.
It’s the kind of product I’ll always purchase whenever I run out, as it’s handy to own for whenever your skin’s in need of extra hydration, and you can’t go wrong with any of the Origins face masks.
