I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dewy Set Setting Spray, but I’d never tried it myself. So, when they launched the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pineapple Dewy Set Setting Spray as a pineapple-scented version of their setting spray, I had to give it a try.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Pineapple Dewy Set Setting Spray
“Mini Dewy Set Setting Spray’s hydrating formula seamlessly blends products together as it sets makeup—leaving the complexion with a dewy (never oily), radiant finish. This gentle mist helps your skin retain moisture and is ideal for those with dry skin or for anyone who wants to achieve the ultimate dewy glow.“
I love anything pineapple, so the idea of a pineapple setting spray definitely appealed to me. As well as there being a pineapple version of the setting spray, there’s also a mango version too, both of which are mini 30ml size bottles.
Whereas the full size bottles are 100ml, however you cannot buy the Pineapple and Mango versions in the full size, as they’re only available in the mini 30ml bottles. Compared to the Urban Decay mini setting sprays, the ABH Dewy Set Setting Spray mini bottles are expensive.
The 30ml version of the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is £12, whereas the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pineapple Dewy Set Setting Spray is £17 for the same amount of product – £5 difference is a lot, especially when the All Nighter sprays really do lock your makeup in place all day, whereas the ABH version isn’t the same kind of product.
Contrary to the product’s name, it’s more of a finishing spray than a setting spray. It doesn’t make your makeup last any longer, but instead it gives a pretty, radiant glow to the skin.
If you’re looking for a setting spray that will set your makeup, and keep it in place all day, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dewy Set Setting Spray won’t be for you.
However, if you’re looking for a finishing spray, to get rid of a powdery cakey finish, and to give you a glow, it’s a nice option, and the pineapple scent is lovely. It doesn’t smell like authentic pineapple, but it smells like hard boiled pineapple cubes, and it feels nice and fresh on the skin.
