What Is The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer And Volumizer Hot Brush?
The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Brush is a revolutionary tool that combines the power of a Hair Dryer, Volumizing Styler, and Hot Brush all in one.
It quickly dries and styles your hair with minimal effort, giving you salon-quality results in minutes instead of hours. The brush has two Heat Settings for both drying and styling.
The oval shape gives you even heat distribution throughout your hair and also provides volume at the roots as you style your hair.
The soft bristles help to detangle knots while blow drying, creating beautifully styled locks without damage or ‘heat shock’.
This brush uses negative ions to seal split ends and condition each strand, so it looks shiny and smooth after styling.
With its unique design, the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Brush allows you to use just one product to achieve salon quality results right at home.
My Revlon Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Review
I reviewed the Revlon Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser here on my blog back in 2017, and it’s still a hot tool I use today.
It’s just as good as the day I got it, and it’s always my go-to whenever I want my hair to be super shiny, smooth and have my frizzy hair tamed.
The Revlon Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser has a twistable base section, like the brush, which allows you to choose which of the two heat settings or the cool setting you want to use.
The brush has typical hairbrush bristles, as well as tufted natural bristles from the unique airflow vents which help to smooth the hair to reduce any frizz, which is exactly what I need as my hair is super frizzy.
I could never get the BaByliss Big Hair to work for me, as it’s so big and bulky, and I always ended up with tangled hair, but I don’t have that issue with the Revlon Hair Dryer Brush.
It is the perfect alternative in my opinion as it doesn’t spin, but you can still create the same uplift and volume, which is ideal for someone as uncoordinated as myself, especially with the swivel cord as it doesn’t tangle you up.
How To Clean Revlon Hair Dryer Brush
I’ve got a guide on how to clean your hair dryer brush, so you can learn how to clean the Revlon One-Step hot styler, to prolong the performance of your hair dryer brush, when using it on wet hair or dry hair.
To clean a Revlon Hair Dryer Brush without damaging the bristles or electrics, start by switching it off and unplugging it from its power source, before trying to get the bristles clean, and remove any build-up of hair.
Then take a soft cloth and dip it in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent added. Wipe the exterior of the hair dryer brush to remove built-up dirt and debris, taking particular care to avoid getting the bristles wet.
Gently massage any stubborn dirt away with your fingertips before drying off with another cloth, and coax any hair clumps or loose hair strands wrapped around the barrel.
Take an old soft-bristled toothbrush (or similar) and dip it into distilled white vinegar that has been mixed with a small amount of warm clean water, or liquid soap; scrub gently through the bristles of the hot air brush until they are free from dirt and grime, and visible hairs.
Rinse off thoroughly, then leave out on a flat surface to dry completely before usage, for the drying process.
To prevent damage to both bristle ends, use only minimal pressure when cleaning; never use harsh chemicals or scrubbing brushes, as these could damage either part of the material or electrical components inside.
After cleaning, store your hair tool in a cool area away from hair spray mist, which may damage electrics over time if left exposed too often.
Use A Vacuum Cleaner
Start by unplugging the Revlon Brush from any power sources. Then, use a vacuum cleaner to clean out the lint and dust that has built up in the brush head.
Begin at one side of the head and use short strokes to move over all of the bristles. Make sure to go over every inch of space to remove all debris.
The vacuum will suck up most of what’s in there, but it won’t be able to remove everything. To get rid of any excess lint, use an old toothbrush or a baby’s hairbrush and gently clean out each bristle individually.
Pay special attention to the area where the bristles grip onto the brush head, as this is usually where dirt accumulates more often.
After cleaning, check for any loose and detached bristles that have come away from their spot on the brush head before plugging your dryer back into its power sources and resuming use.
Mild Soap Or Shampoo Mixture
Cleaning your Revlon Hair Dryer Brush is easy and safe. To start, unplug the device before beginning to clean it. Start by using a damp cloth or tissue to wipe any excess hair off the bristles of the brush.
You can then use a mild liquid soap or shampoo mixture to clean the bristles of the brush, as this will help remove dirt and build-up from hair products such as styling mousse or hairspray.
Do not submerge the corded electric device in water, but instead lightly apply the mixture directly onto a cloth and then gently scrub it onto your hairbrush.
Make sure that you rinse off any soapy residue from both sides of your hairbrush with clean, warm water afterward. Finally let it air-dry completely before using again. Once the cleaning process is done, dry your brush with a clean towel or lint-free towel, to minimize dust particles.
You should clean your brush every few months to keep your Revlon Hair Dryer Brush in optimal condition and ensure that your locks look beautiful each time you style them.
Soft Bristled Hairbrush
To clean the brush, you can’t just rinse the brush due to the electric components; instead, use a soft-bristled brush to gently but firmly go around the bristles to remove any tangled hair, lint and dirt from it.
Start by holding the brush with bristles up in one hand and dip a soft-bristled hairbrush in warm soapy water and start brushing away in small circular motions on top of and around the bristles until all debris is removed.
After that, carefully rinse off the soap with warm water, then hold the brush down over a sink or bowl while you let out any excess water.
Next you need to dry off your Revlon Hair Dryer Brush, lay it flat over a towel at room temperature if possible or use your blow dryer if needed, paying extra attention to get into those crevices where moisture may linger.
Hairbrush Cleaning Claw Tool
To keep your Revlon Hot Brush clean, it is important to use a hairbrush cleaning claw tool, which you can easily find on Amazon or eBay.
This simple but essential tool will help you remove any hair that gets tangled in the bristles of the brush, while also helping keep the base of the brush clean.
First, take out the dryer attachment and use the cleaning claw to gently pull away any hairs that are stuck in between the bristles.
You may need to give them a slight tug, being careful not to damage any of them. Then run a comb through all of the bristles, being sure to get down into each one thoroughly.
Once done with this step, then rinse the entire brush under warm running water and let it air dry completely before putting everything back together again.
To keep your Revlon hair dryer brush at its best for longer periods of time, make sure to brush it regularly with a soft bristle comb and use this cleaning claw as needed.
Damp Cloth
When it comes to cleaning your Revlon Hot Brush, it’s important that you do not submerge your brush in water. This can damage the electric components of the hot hair brush.
A good way to clean your Revlon Hot Brush is by using a damp cloth or sponge. Start by making sure to unplug the hairbrush from the electrical source and let it cool down completely before you clean the dryer and bristles.
Then, gently wipe away any debris or dust that has built up on the surface of the handle, as well as any excess fur and styling product debris from the bristles of the brush.
Once all visible debris has been removed, use a damp cloth and carefully run it over both sides of the dryer part, taking care not to get electric components wet.
Finally, allow the brush some time to air dry before plugging it back into an electrical outlet for use again.
This method will ensure that you safely clean both parts of your Revlon Hot Brush without damaging any electric components, while keeping its bristles free from dirt and buildup.
How To Clean The Revlon One-Step Blow Dryer Brush Bristles?
Before beginning any cleaning of the brush, make sure that your hair is wet and free from any product. You will then want to use the brush to dry your hair as normal.
After you are done drying with the brush, be sure to unplug it from its power source and let it cool down.
Next, take a cloth dampened with warm water and gently rub over each bristle of the brush, as this will help lift away any dirt or oil buildup on them.
Finally, use another cloth or paper towel to remove any excess moisture off all parts of the tool.
To maintain proper care of your Revlon One-Step Blow Dryer Brush bristles, it is recommended that you brush regularly, so debris doesn’t accumulate on them and always store it in an upright position when not in use.
