If you fancy giving your home a spring clean or update, without spending a fortune, changing wall colors is a relatively easy way to give your home a fresh look.
Now we’re in 2026, there are a number of colors that are trending, with this year’s interior color palette leaning into warmth and nature, with modern neutrals, softened greens and moodier tones.

Cool Blue
Cool Blue is an easy to brighten up a space, while keeping it calming. It has a light and icy tone, which feels fresh rather than harsh, to give you a relaxing atmosphere.
This color works especially well in bedrooms, when you want a softer mood, but it works in bathrooms too, for clean-water inspired shades.
To style Cool Blue, pair it with pale color woods, woven textures, and crisp whites, to give you a modern coastal look. For a more modern look, pair Cool Blue with matte black accents and clean-lined furniture.
As the color reflects light, it will keep the room feeling uncluttered, and make it feel airy.
For a balanced palette, you can pair the Cool Blue with warm creams, sandy beiges, soft grays or soft muted greens, finished with brushed nickel or chrome detailing.
Transformative Teal
If you prefer a bolder pop of color, Transformative Teal could be a good choice. It’s a deep blue-green, which brings depth without feeling too heavy, allowing you to energize a room, while still keeping it grounded.
You can use Transformative Teal on a single focus wall, for a pop of color, to spotlight art, shelving or a statement headboard in a bedroom.
When choosing Transformative Teal, it’ll give you a lovely, calming ambiance, especially if you balance the boldness of teal, with warm whites, soft sands, or pale wood tones.
As the color is nature-inspired, it echoes ocean water and evergreen foliage, to give your interior a refreshed atmosphere.
If you want to lean into the coastal theme for many of 2026’s interior trends, you can team the teal with rattans, linens and brushed brass, with sea-glass accessories.
Universal Khaki
If you want a modern and fresh color, Universal Khaki is the perfect color, as it works for almost any room in your home, as it’s a neutral and versatile color.
The shade softens hard lines, and supports modern aesthetics, and can be used to create a calming atmosphere.
Universal Khaki works with natural wood tones for warmth, stones for a grounded look, or dark and moody accents for a contrast.
When choosing Universal Khaki, you add accents with matte hardware (for door handles or light fittings) and textured linens, for a mixed materials effect.
Warm Eucalyptus
My personal favorite for 2026, is Warm Eucalyptus. It is described as being a restorative green, which brings “outdoorsy” calm, without feeling too bold.
It’ll give you a fresh and grounded backdrop, and in color psychology, green supports “balance and renewal”, so you’ll notice calmer moods and steadier focus.
It’s such a versatile color, allowing you to pair it with creamy whites, sandy neutrals, matte black accents, and light woods without feeling “chilly”.
Warm Eucalyptus gives a beautiful nature-inspired ambiance, working with woven textures, linen and stone, complimenting minimal wall art and brushed metals.
Choosing Warm Eucalyptus, will give you a cleaner, quieter and more breathable atmosphere, and it pairs beautifully with a soft eggshell finish to the paint, for a gentle light bounce.
Warm Mahogany
If you prefer a moodier atmosphere for your interiors, Warm Mahogany is a popular choice, delivering a rich and grounded red, to instantly elevate a room.
As it’s such a dark and moody color, it works best when used for a feature wall, to anchor a room to feel cozy and warm.
This shade is said to signal warmth, security and “quiet power”, and works beautifully with rich textures for furnishings and accessories, like velvet, leather or walnut, without feeling too heavy.
For a good design contrast, choose Warm Mahogany with creamy plaster, pale oaks, or matte black hardware, to keep the edges crisp.
Choose some statement pieces, like brass sconces (if you have them), oversized mirrors, or sculptural art, to pop against the red tones of the mahogany for a luxe, cozy ambiance.
